Mobile Notary Questions

Do you travel to homes, offices and hospitals?

Yes. Mobile appointments can be arranged at homes, offices, hospitals, senior and care facilities, rehabilitation centers, businesses and other agreed locations throughout Woodland, Davis, West Sacramento, Natomas and surrounding areas.

What identification should I bring?

Bring an identification document acceptable under California notary law. A current driver’s license, state-issued identification card or U.S. passport are common examples. If your ID is expired or you are unsure whether it qualifies, contact Eagle Eye Mobile Notary before the appointment.

Can you tell me which document or certificate I need?

No. A notary cannot choose documents, select a notarial act or provide legal advice. Ask the document recipient, preparer or a qualified attorney.

Can you come to a hospital, rehabilitation center or senior living community?

Yes. Mobile notary appointments can be arranged at hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted-living communities, skilled nursing facilities and other care settings. Contact Eagle Eye Mobile Notary in advance to discuss the signer, identification, documents and facility requirements.

Do I need witnesses for my document?

Some documents require witnesses and others do not. Eagle Eye Mobile Notary cannot determine whether your document legally requires witnesses. Please confirm witness requirements with the document preparer, receiving agency or attorney before the appointment. If witnesses are required and you need assistance arranging them, ask about witness coordination when scheduling.

Can you notarize a document that has already been signed?

It depends on the notarial act required. For an acknowledgment, a signer may acknowledge a previously made signature while personally appearing before the notary. A jurat requires the signer to sign in the notary’s presence after taking the required oath or affirmation. If your document is already signed, contact Eagle Eye Mobile Notary before the appointment.

Do you provide after-hours appointments?

Appointments scheduled between 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM are considered after-hours and incur an additional $30 after-hours fee, in addition to regular appointment and travel fees. After-hours appointments are subject to availability.
